Joysuo: 5 Simple Ways to Juice Up Married Sex

It is no news that the factors which lead to boredom once the dotted lines are signed are many.

You’re now having sex with a relative, and only with that person for the rest of your life. The demands of building a career and earning a living, especially in big cities where many couples spend hours in traffic, can take a toll on a couple. Add children of various ages to the mix, and it’s easy to fall into bed, and settle for bland two-minute sex before rolling over to sleep off the stress of a hard day.

Here are a few things you can try whenever you need to get the juices flowing in that department:

1. Get out of the bedroom

Making love only in the bedroom all the time is a surefire way to plunge your sex life into the doldrums of monotony. Whenever you get some alone time, or the kids are deep asleep, try the kitchen, bathroom, living room, anywhere but your good old bed. This alone can bring in a new flavour you’ll enjoy.

2. Try a new position

It is not for nothing that the missionary position has been dear to couples for ages. The intimacy of being face to face brings about a unique bond. Still, inasmuch as missionary is a staple, it is very important for couples to try other positions from time to time. It not only keeps boredom at bay, it also makes it possible for you to explore pleasure zones you may not have known of before. This applies not only to intercourse, but also to foreplay; if you’re used to lying down during foreplay, why not try sitting up?

3. Put on some music and dance

There’s a reason why the phrase “baby-making music” exists. Music nourishes love, as we all know, and if as you listen you can dance to the music, looking into each other’s eyes or rubbing against each other while locking lips, things can get steamy real quick.

4. Slip on a condom

Worrying about getting pregnant before you are ready can be a distraction and a dampener, so condoms are great for birth control, but they can also increase your pleasure in various ways. For instance, condoms can make him last longer if you both want to try that, and the ribbed and dotted ones create a different sensation for her too. Delicious!

5. Get away from the kids for a few hours

If you can arrange proper childcare that will enable you to have a few hours of intimacy without being worried about the kids, it’s totally worth it. You can use this time to rest (which is very important for great sex), bond with each other, and then dive into a memorable session, the recollection of which will spark a fire when you’re back to your regular routine.

Being married does not have to mean boring sex forever. In fact, it should be the opposite. Go for it!

Why I’m Happy That Jesus Died

I’ve been treasuring these thoughts in my heart for a long time, and already decided to share before I realised it’s Lent! Best time to look at this.

I’ve come to realise that each and every one of Satan’s lies is covering something he’s desperate to hide!

I remember tweeting a quote sometime ago about how knowing which lie is holding you bound is the first step in the truth making you free.

When I heard the lie being taught to some of my dear ones, that Christ did not really die, I shook my head and discarded the silly theory. They said Jesus didn’t die, that at the last minute God exchanged him with someone else who now died in His place and God took Him up.

I only briefly wondered, what’s the point of lying that Christ didn’t die? I shrugged. Just another one of Satan’s lies. So “LOL” right?

Except, it’s not an ordinary lie. It is covering a very significant and potent truth. Nothing to LOL about at all.

The Bible tells us that if Satan had understood the implications of Christ’s death, he would not have push that agenda so eagerly. But because he did not understand, he was busy jumping up and down, pulling strings and entering hearts, to make sure Jesus died.

After Jesus died and Satan realised what His death meant, and saw that this was the plan all along, paaaainment! PANIC!

What to do? Calm down. We can still prevent people from seeing what His death means. We can even convince some that He didn’t die!

I have loved ones who are taught that Christ didn’t actually die, and they believe it. That’s how afraid Satan is of Jesus’ death. Afraid of what it means for you when you realise the truth about the death of Jesus Christ.

“No, He didn’t die, someone else took his place last minute.” Not buying?  “Ok, ok, He died, but He died like any other man, nothing sacrificial to it.”

Satan is desperate. Anything to keep you from knowing and understanding the truth of the death of Christ; because it will make you free! The strategy of denying and undermining Christ’s death was damage control, and well executed if we look at it.  If He didn’t die, then prophecy was never fulfilled, our sins never paid for, and He never resurrected! You can imagine the desperation.

About communion- the Bread and the Cup- the Bible says: when we do this, we proclaim the Lord’s DEATH until He comes.

Pause and calmly reflect on that. We proclaim the death of Christ. We say to Satan, your lies will not hold. Yes, Jesus died on that cross!

In His death Jesus paid the price for my sins, and I am acquitted! And no, Satan, you cannot appeal this case! IT IS FINISHED!

Thank God that Jesus died! Glory to God that He did not stay dead. Death could not keep his prey; He tore the bars away!!

Speaking of Christ’s sacrificial death hundreds of years before it happened, the prophet Isaiah said;

Surely our griefs He Himself bore, and our sorrows He carried; Yet we ourselves esteemed Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted… He was bruised for our transgressions… he was wounded for our iniquities, the price that made us free was upon Him, and by His wounds, we are healed!

This is why many are comfortable with talking about His life; oh, He was a good guy, what wonderful teachings! But His death?

Accepting the true meaning of His suffering and death means acknowledging that without His sacrifice we are doomed forever. And we don’t want that. A more Oprah-esque version seems better. It’s inclusive and certainly makes less enemies. Got Jesus or not, it’s ok!

Isaiah called him “Man of Sorrows”. What a name! But He bore sorrow so that we may know joy everlasting.

Jesus breathed his last on that cross and said, “it is finished.” Whoever believes in that sacrifice receives eternal life. He who the Son has made free, is free indeed. I am free indeed, not by what I have done, but by what He did. “Whosoever believes…”

Whosoever. Whosoever…!

Next time you partake of the Lord’s Body and Blood, remember 1 Cor 11:26:  we proclaim the Lord’s death, until He returns. “For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the death of the Lord, until he comes.” ~ 1 Cor 11:26

Sorry, Satan. JESUS DIED. Too bad you regret that. Too bad for you. Too awesome for “whosoever believes in Him” because we have eternal life!

We proclaim Jesus’ death to be the spring of all our life, our comfort, our hope…for all eternity.

What can wash away my sin? Nothing but the Blood of Jesus! What can make me whole again? Nothing but the Blood of Jesus! Oh, precious is the flow, that makes me white as snow! No other fount I know; nothing but the Blood of Jesus!

There is power mighty in the Blood of Jesus Christ! The Blood that gives me strength day after day, it will never lose its power!! Woooohoooo!

“This is my Body, broken for you…eat it in remembrance of Me.”

“This is my Blood, poured out for you…eat it in remembrance of Me.”

We remember You, Lord Jesus- the love, wisdom, healing and salvation that is You- and in communion we proclaim Your death until You come!
