Today I met my second Twitter friend: @flygurly_

I was not surprised to find she’s truly a yummy mummy! She managed to sneak out of the house and we met up at a Dominos in our neighbourhood.

We have so much in common, not least of which is our love for reading. We chatted about motherhood, business, faith, and our shared love for cake, amongst other things.

I used to be that person who always wanted to say yes. I genuinely enjoy people and like making them happy. If I can put a smile on someone’s face, that’s usually the highlight of my day. I’m just finding my way out of a season which, if I had to name it, would be called Overwhelm.

It was a stressful time, full of “how did I get here?” and “where do I start from?” ‎moments. The worst thing was that it didn’t seem like it would ever end. Sometimes the thought of endless pressure-filled days brought on anxiety and shortness of breath.
