Esther is one of my favourite books of the Bible, and if you’ve ever taken time to read it, this won’t sound strange to you at all.

Esther was a Jewish girl who was not only an orphan but also a displaced person- a slave in foreign Persia along with her fellow Israelites. Her older cousin Mordecai raised her, and together they submitted themselves to be used by God, bringing about a great deliverance for Israel.

It’s a short book you can finish in one evening. Here are 6 parts of the story that fill me with joy, wonder and worship.

As soon as I got the chance, I started reading up on sleep, and here are a few of the many things I learnt.

Oh, the joys of working under a maestro, an expert, a master of the game! If you’ve never had one of those “Nah, MD is good!” moments, I have been there, and I can tell you that this is the kind of boss we all dream of working with and learning from, and this is the kind of boss you want to be, at any level. How to Marry Scum

Not a day passes without me seeing “men are scum” on Twitter, and for every person who posts it as a joke, there’s someone who clearly means it.

It used to bother me a lot, mainly for two reasons; I love men, and I am averse to generalisations. Does Anyone Miss Being a New Mum?
